Answer: In April 1936, a relatively mundane strike by Arab tradesmen and workers escalated into a widespread rebellion of Palestinians that came to be known as ‘the Arab revolt’. But how did this general strike develop into open and violent insurrection against Jewish targets and widespread hostility towards British policy.
