Question: Oaksey Leisure Centre - Report on Organisational Change

Answer: Below are the main principles based around Oaksey’s organisational change, I have selected the use of and understanding of various models and methods from a range of theorists. In doing so I have once again familiarised myself towards the elements of organisational change.

2.1 Dunphy and Stace contingency model for change

This model of change looks at the possibility of change in an organisation. Along with this model are two types of change, simple change and transformational change. Under both these methods of change comes a view of the realism in terms of collaborate (working together, joint forces & co-operating with each other) and drive factors, which comments on the importance of forces and drives towards change.

In terms of Oaksey Leisure Centre a transformational Coherence approach is most relevant towards Oaksey’s need for changes. As Dunphy and Stace argue that:
