Answer: This essay will critically analyse both positive and negative influences of the highly controversial globalisation of the Web on children’s education both inside and outside the school, which although mainly advantageous may enhance some the problems faced by society. Fears of the Web taking over the role of the teacher and books will also be discussed, although it will be emphasised that the teachers must also become competent with web use if they to teach its use effectively to children. Moreover, it is important to remember that the Internet is also a channel for spreading social values, diverse ideas, and it fosters freedom of speech and expression allowing every individual with access to shape its content.
