Answer: The purpose of the study was to extend previous research into injuries sustained by male and female soccer players. The study aimed to examine the aetiology, location, extent/severity, and incidence of injuries sustained by male and female collegiate soccer players in matches, team and individual training sessions. From these findings the author was then able to establish preventative measures. The subjects selected for the study comprised of 80 (n=80) sports performers that studied at UWIC of which 48 were males and 32 were females. The subjects completed a self designed questionnaire to enable the author to gain the relevant information to complete the study.
