Question: Radiography UCAS Personal Statement
Answer: The reasons why I’ve selected to study Radiography is because I have a profound interest in human anatomy and medical technology in particular MRI, fluoroscopy and digital X-rays systems. The use of such technology only furthers our understanding of anatomy. My enthusiasm for this degree was found when my aunt who is a radiographer spoke to me about her profession when I was 16 years old and I was fascinated and mainly because of all the patient contact that’s involved in her job. This aspect of the career really opened my eyes to the needs of people suffering from cancer and needing to receive patient care which plays a huge part in the role of a radiographer.
Due to my knowledge and interest in the degree I have chosen a BTEC and this has prepared me well for the degree as it uses a hands on approach and a lot of the degree is coursework and practical based. A module I enjoyed the...(short extract)
