Question: Midwifery - Personal Statement used to apply for preceptorship position after qualifying.
Answer: After remaining at home to raise my two children and having had a very interesting and varied career, I came to recognise a personal need for a demanding and challenging profession with opportunity for continuous development, which I believe midwifery provides. Reawakening my mind, achievement of outstanding academic results and development of clinical skills has proved a defining period in my life. I have gained a solid educational grounding upon which to begin the rest of my journey towards practising as a midwife.....(short extract)
