Answer: Within this piece of writing I will be discussing the different aspects of the film” Rabbit Proof Fence”. I’m going to show the films portrayal of the characters and the particular way the children and Mr Neville are presented in the film. I’m also going to show the uses of images used and how, the landscape / setting use and its effects, the type of music used and when it’s used , the narrative, camera techniques and dialogue.
The films plot shows a parallel story of how three aboriginal children are taken away from their family, to go to a camp at Moore River. The government had made this camp to bring up half-cast aboriginal children and try to make them “more white”. However shortly after the girls arrived they decided to try and escape and walk the one thousand two hundred miles back home while the chief of aborigines search for them.
