Andrew Adonis was heavily involved in the education reform programme. This book describes his ambition to make English education system world class. When cross referenced with other sources, it will allow a comparison between the government expectations and the outcomes.
I have included this book in my research list as it provides an insight into the lead up to the Act in 2008. This material would provide a background to the political motivations involved and an insight into the fiscal changes made within the education system. Due to Adonis’ personal and professional involvement, I have to consider political bias when weighing up the material during research. The reliability of the facts and opinions presented by Adonis would need to be crossed with other sources.
