Answer: The purpose of this essay is to explore the social work practice issues raised in the case of Georges, and the relevant legislation that would be used in this case study. As the social worker allocated to Georges case there may be some importance to undertake a needs assessment with him. The assessment will look at his current situation, and will identify the strengths needs and if he has any support networks. The needs assessment will identify if there is a need for intervention and what that intervention this will be. There could possibly be a number of pieces legislations that can be used when working with Georges. The social worker would be required to work under The Care Act 2014. As it appears there may be some concerns with regards to Georges memory, this would need to be considered, so there may be a need to refer to the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
