In this assignment I am going to explain why life stories of people receiving care are important and how it is essential in developing their sense of identity. I will explain how a sense of identity is developed and what support is available for a child in the looked after system who have no sense of who they are or where they are going. I will explain how care can be improved by knowing more about a child’s former life and what workers need to be aware of when encouraging children to talk about their past. I am going to be focusing my essay around the case study of Jordan Morgan.
