Answer: One of the Sources that support the interpretation that Churchill was best suited to be Prime Minister was Source A. It states that he is the only person “who commands anything like universal respect” implying that he is the only one who could do the job well due to the respect he has earned from colleagues. The value of this Source is that it is a diary and therefore states personal opinions that are genuine and therefore must be what they truly feel. The Source is written by Chamberlain’s private secretary and this means that even working for someone else, he saw that he gives everyone “confidence and will” thus implying that he suits the job well. The limitation of this Source is that due to him working for Chamberlain, he saw that Churchill and the former Prime Minister clashed slightly and therefore states that he had a record of “untrustworthiness and instability” aft...(short extract)
