Answer: This assignment will look at shared values and how important they are in dementia care homes. It will also look at the impact positive shared values can have on both staff and residents and how they can completely change the experience of all the people involved.
Carol Komaromy’s (2009) model of context of relationships and communication has three levels. The first level is where there is knowledge and power, experience and emotion. This relates to the values of the individual. The second level brings in setting, roles, routines, language, learning and training and this relates to the institution and the third level is the social level where policy and ethics come in.
