Answer: Did you just see a beggar on the street? Well I’ll tell you what don’t stop, keep walking. The homeless don’t need our money. You might think I’m cold-hearted right? Well before you make a judgment you have to hear this. 40% of people arrested for begging in Westminster in 2005 lived in hostels or bed sites. You never know if someone is actually homeless. They might be deceiving you. There are many reasons why people beg and the major reason is they are too lazy to work. By giving money to a beggar we are not helping them but giving them an easy way out. Every dollar we give to a beggar we are promoting laziness. Giving money to a beggar leads to a culture of dependency. Instead of giving them money we should help find them a job or give the money to a charity that helps these people.
