Question: Write an argumentative piece on abortion.
It was a foggy day in my home country, the mist shrouding the land with deceit. The thunderous noise of the crowd gathered in the square was nearly enough to drown out my thoughts. We were assembled to mourn the death of a young mother-to be. A devastating death that could have been easily prevented if her life-threatening pregnancy had been terminated. Her blood was on the hand of the righteous, religious and, ultimately, blind political right wing.
Should we have to extinguish an existing life for the mere possibility of a new one?

Abortion is one of the world’s most polarizing topics -- justifiably dividing friends, families and even communities as the subject is sensitive for most. Most religious states forbid the very mention of the word; it is their very own Voldemort. Conversely, secular states provide open discussions about abortions. Indeed, most educated health officials agree that abortion is not a moral crime. Especially not a crime that deserves eternal damnation as punishment.
Opposition for healthy and safe abortions are largely a result of religious dogma. The political left wing views the religious circle’s protests as arbitrary objections aimed to limit women’s rights. However, this is not their perception of themselves. In their eyes, they are leaders that are defending the innocent. As a matter of fact, some of these “revolutionaries” are women!
