Compare and contrast the ways in which these two articles report the Andrew Mitchell, ‘Plebgate’ incident. You should discuss the similarities and differences between the two pieces, focusing on what aspects of the story the different reports choose to highlight, and how the style and use of language differs between the two pieces.

Answer: This essay will cover the similarities and differences of both stories with the comparison of style and use of language. What was the article aiming for and how did they achieve to reach that goal. As well as the supporting evidence showing any signs of biased views in both writers and how the article grasp the readers interest throughout the article.
Both sources started with a strong heading. The Mirror started with a strong agitated word “Furious” as Mitchell accused cops as liars as he continuously deny that he did not said the word “plebs”. Labelling a police officer “plebs” is a form of social class discrimination especially if it’s coming from a person of a higher position.
