Language can be used playfully in English for different reasons, it could be just for fun as David Crystal (1998, p1) says ‘We play with language when we manipulate it as a source of enjoyment ... And if someone were to ask why we do it, the answer is simply: for fun’ or it can be for achieving some goals like how advertisers use the language in a playful manner to convey a message. Whatever may be the reasons, playing with language definitely helps children learn the language faster and better.
The creative people use the language as their medium to portray their creativity by manipulating the language very skilfully to convey their message effectively. They can convey these messages through talk or through literature and whichever way it is done they use the language in the form of an art.
