Answer: In this essay, we will look at the study carried out by Brian Bigelow and John La Gaipa then compare and contrast it with the study carried out by William Corsaro.
You will read about the aims of the two groups of researchers before looking at the method employed by first Bigelow and La Gaipa followed by a William Corsaro.
Moving on you will become aware of some of the criticism the two studies received before reading about the results and finding that were presented by the two groups based on the research they did.
The final part of the essay will conclude by explaining the changes that came about in the world so psychological research because of the methods employed in the two very different studies.
The aims of Bigelow and La Gaipa and of William Corsaro were similar in that they all wanted to discover more about the relatively under researched subject of childhood friendship.
