Question: Task 1 (AC’s 1.1, 3.1, and 3.2) Identify the main characteristics of the nature/nurture debate and explain how this can be applied to gender differences.
Answer: The nature verse nurture or hereditary verse environment debate has been a one controversy among experts for centuries. The debate, has not yet reached clear a conclusion, there are many conflicting arguments either in favour nature or nurture. Even though both side of the debate have been thoroughly explored among many researchers, evidence has been overwhelmingly in favour of both arguments. The ‘nature’ side of the debate argues in favour of hereditary views to support this argument. The researchers is do in favour of nature tend to follow the biological approach believe that genetics exclusively establish the gender of the person and the environment plays absolutely no role in determining his or her gender.
