Question: The Journey of a LED TV.
Answer: In this connections project I will attempt to outline the networks that brought LED’s from their discovery to use in televisions today. I will first look at the discovery of LED’s and what purpose they served. Secondly I will then continue to investigate how LED’s intially made their way in to mainstream technology. Finally I will outline the current use of LED technology and how it is now present in most Televisions on sale today.

“The first practical LED was invented by Nick Holonyak, Jr., in 1962 while he was at General Electric Company.” The technology surrounded an infra-red emission that was observed being released by diodes using gallium antimonide.
