Answer: TMA 01 Part 1 As I grew up, I slowly started to learn of and understand my family history kwith crime and the criminal justice system and this started opening up doors for me to ask questions about what causes crime. This led me to further curiosity into criminology and wanting to understand how a criminologist thinks.
Prior to beginning DD105, I generally only contemplated over very serious crimes such as murders and assaults, however, the study materials in Week 1 and 2 have definitely piqued my interest a lot more than I believed they would.
For example, the section ‘The politics of graffiti’ made me consider the act of graffiti in a greatly different way. I knew graffiti could be used as an act of political resistance, however, I hadn’t considered the reactions this gathers as I haven’t witnessed this first-hand; such as the way that upper levels of society/governing b...(short extract)
