Question: TMA06. Selecting material from at least three blocks of DD100, outline some examples of political, social and/or economic life in the UK where there have been important changes over the last 50 years. How significant are the changes which you have identified?
Answer: In the last 50 years we have seen dramatic changes in UK society, from the liberation of woman’s rights and a move away form patriarchy, a claimed rise in crime and the nature of crimes, a ‘globalizing world’ and a diversity of knowledge and power. Some claim these changes are negative and a decent form the ‘golden age’ where life was more certain, family roles set and a job was for life and society more secure, leading to the conclusion that these changes have caused uncertainty. Others would claim that these changes have been liberating and seen a spread of power falling into new hands (to some extent), creating...(short extract)
