Answer: As an ex-girl guide and now a full time youth worker I decided to compare the two provisions, so contacted a local Girl Guide pack and went to visit, as well as substantial research on the Internet.
It is an interesting fact that although Girl Guiding was originally founded by Sir Robert Baden-Powell, run by his wife Olave and sister Agnes as part of the Scouting movement, in this modern day and age it is still a sexist organisation, only enrolling females into its membership. The Scouting movement, on the other hand, has moved into the 21st century and has both male and female scouts within its groups....(short extract)
