Answer: It is important that practitioners understand the limits and boundaries of conforming to relevant legislation because they teach us to know what our responsibilities are in a setting. They also offer us guidance of how to give the best care and service to people who we work with. But the problems are, you have to get access to training and the legislation might prevent us from helping someone to the point of resolution. Child protection is important and you have to be aware of how to keep children safe from abuse. Every setting has a child protection policy. Children may tell learners things that might give concerns. For example if a child was being abused, you would report this to your supervisor because a child might accuse you of doing something and you would be more likely to be in more trouble.
