Question: “Inn the Park” Building Analysis Report
Answer: I have chosen to study a building called “Inn the Park”, it was formerly known as the “Cake house” and is located in St James’ Park, London (See Picture 1). This building is relevant to my design in a number of ways in that I am including vast areas of turf roof and some subterranean spaces. Also the design for “Inn the Park” uses lots of wood and many environmentally friendly construction methods, such as cooled air from the lake, roof lights (instead of electric lighting), and a buffer space for intermediate air temperatures between inside and out. My design is for a “House of the Elements” in Cornwall in which sustainable building is a key issue, for all of these reasons I think that “Inn the Park” is a good choice of building to study....(short extract)
