Answer: 1.1 The induction process is important for all new employees whether they are a new starter, bank worker or an agency member of staff the process enables us to welcome people to the company, but also support them within their new role. Induction plays a crucial part in staff retention as failure to properly support and assess performance during this period can result in loosing or demotivating staff. Although the induction process is generally used for new starters this may not always be the case and staff may need to be re-inducted at times to help staff to adjust to a changed working environment. Inductions are important for the individuals we support and the organisation as they ensure that all staff obtains a good understanding of how the organisation works, including its principles, values and objectives.
