Answer: In this assignment I will be identifying several of the difficulties and rewards of caring for a family member by referring to the case of Ann and Angus and also to the Hussain study conducted in 2002. Ann cares for her 72 year old step father Angus and has a husband and daughter whilst adults from the Hussain study are Asian parents caring for there disabled children. I will look at whether caring for your parent offers different difficulties and rewards to caring for your child and what other factors can affect the experience of caring.

Having read the case study of Ann and Angus I had no problem listing the difficulties she faced in her full time role as his carer, for which she had no formal training or qualifications.
