Answer: 1.1 Effective partnership is accepting that no one has full control over all situations and that some agencies will know more about different areas of a child’s life than others. Some individuals also exert more power of decisions made for a young person than others, for example with both young people in my care their local authorities have the power to override decisions made as they are on full care orders, whereas a child on a voluntary care order is still under the responsibility of their parents. A good partnership will empower the young person and is necessary for managing behaviours and creating the best possible care package for them.
