Answer: 1.1 All staff who work directly and non-directly with children or young people within the organisation have a responsibility to not only safeguard these individuals, but also to provide the necessary support, understating, and guidance to be able to deal with past harm or abuse. The organisation has policies and procedures in place with regards to safeguarding young people and supporting those who may have experienced harm or abuse. Safeguarding policies cover all areas beginning first with necessary procedures and checks during recruitment, in depth safeguarding and child protection training, training to support young people with disclosures, whistleblowing, and more. It is all staff’s responsibilities to ensure that they keep up to date with developments and changes to policy and procedure.
