Answer: 1.2 Certain barriers that may occur within a work force that effect equality and inclusion could be cultural barriers, where other staff, service users or employees may not be considerate of religion and different beliefs. As a line manager I appreciate that people have different religions and beliefs and at times this requires me to alter staff members working patterns to accommodate this. An example of this is to allow time off for religious festivals and weekly attendance to church etc. Personal barriers is a common barrier within a working environment, this is when staff members hold individual prejudice towards each other. For example due to religious reasons a care worker was unable to participate in personal care with male service users.
