Answer: In my job role, I need to communicate with a variety of individuals ranging from service users, their family members, care workers, social workers and other professionals. In my role as a Registered Manager, I must adapt my method of communication dependant on the individual or target audience and also the subject area being addressed.
For example, with staff members/care workers, I communicate openly with them in a relaxed manner on a daily basis to encourage open and honest communication from them in return. I find that having this open approach, provides maximum dedication and commitment from staff as they work in a happier environment.
