Answer: 1.1 As a care home manager I have a responsibility to engage in continuous professional development. In my job role I feel it is very important for me to continually improve my knowledge to ensure that I am aware of and follow all the current health and social care standards, legislation and guidelines for good practice and to use all knowledge to improve my role as a manager.
All the knowledge I learn, weather it be updating knowledge or new knowledge I can then pass this on to my team, as this provides them with up to date information in order for them to fulfill their job roles within the home and promoting good practice. Passing on knowledge that I have personally learnt helps to guide and support all staff members in their jobs and be a good role model.
