Question: Who is the loneliest character in “Of Mice & Men”?
Answer: In 1929 the Wall Street crash happened heralding a prolonged period of mass unemployment and economic stagnation. A lot of people migrated to California to get work by leaving there families behind because there was supposed to be a lot of work in California. Single men and people were moving ranch to ranch without settling in one place properly. A lot of families and people got very lonely because the men had to leave there families behind.
