Diversity is in anything that defines us as individuals because it is the state of a variety of differences, from culture to skin colour to opinion. In the legal profession diversity is defined as “ensuring that respect is shown towards all individuals within a group or organization.” Additionally, there are many barriers under- represented groups face when developing a career in the legal profession, especially female lawyer’s. Whether this is at entry level, or progression it is inevitable. Recent research has shown, “there is an evident gap between the number of females and ethnic minorities entering the market and those progressing within it”.
