Answer: 1. The significant learning moment for me during this module was in Chapter 7 ‘Who do children play with?’ it had a big impact on my thinking about how play with others develops from babies’ earliest active participation in the family, using interaction and humour and how play between peers can differ from play between friends, and how children form friendships through participation in play and what children gain from participating in play with friends and relatives, including conflict in play. I have understood how inclusive practice is promoted through children’s play and creativity and how to support inclusive practice. In Chapter 12 it states that ‘Interacting with other children during play means that they have the opportunity to participate on their own terms and make a contribution to the group’ (Parry, J and Jones, C 2017 pg. 81).
