Answer: In this essay, I will discuss the role of observation in psychological research. To achieve this, I will be drawing on material from study materials that have been used during this module. I will explain what observation is and go on to explain why this is a useful tool in psychological research, providing examples, as well as presenting differing techniques that play an equally important role in research, before concluding and evaluating the important of observation, in light of the evidence that is presented.
Differences and inequalities can be measured in a number of ways, wealth, health, social class, gender or housing segregation are just a few examples. Some of the examples stated previously are beyond the control of the individual, wealth and health for example. Some people live on the streets due to reasons beyond their control.
