· Independent schools
· Foundation and trust schools

· Home schools
· Boarding schools
All children between 5-16 are entitled to free school at main stream state schools. Children start primary school at the age of 4 and leave at the age of 11. Then they move on to secondary school and leave the age of 16. There are 3 educational stages Early years, which is pre-school. The age range is 0-3. These are daytime nursery, private or state. The school age is 4-16, it starts from infants (4-7) and juniors age (7-11) and secondary (11-16)....(short extract)
