This also allows for the identification of any issues in meeting the child’s needs and will help providers to understand the nature of any risks the child may face. This will also allow for strategies to be formulated and implemented on how it is best to support the child or young person to the best of their ability.
A child centred model is important as it focuses on an individual, their unique circumstances and their skills and abilities. This enables individualised support, and for the child or young person to receive the care and support that they may need. It also allows for the child or young person to maintain and build up skill sets which can aid them in their future life.
